1. Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Front desk clerks greet guests upon their arrival, handle the check-in process by verifying guest information, issuing room keys, and providing relevant information about hotel amenities and policies. They also assist guests during check-out, ensuring all charges are accurately accounted for and resolving any inquiries or concerns.

2. Reservation Management: Front desk clerks handle guest reservations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information in the hotel’s reservation system. They manage room assignments, accommodate special requests, and communicate any changes or modifications to guests.

3. Guest Assistance: Front desk clerks serve as a point of contact for guests throughout their stay. They answer inquiries, provide directions and recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and services, and assist with arranging transportation or making reservations.

4. Cash Handling: Front desk clerks handle financial transactions, including processing guest payments, managing cash floats, and balancing the cash drawer at the end of their shift. They may also be responsible for maintaining records of guest charges and issuing receipts.
