JOB DESCRIPTION
To be eligible for this position, you must currently reside in Ontario, Canada.We’re looking for a data administrator/specialist to assist our team of data scientists and engineers in managing, cleaning, and curating data from various sources. Your day-to-day duties could include anything from identifying target objects in photographs to researching and entering data online. You must be detail-oriented and capable of communicating your findings through clear written summaries and conference calls.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Highly organized, capable of multitasking and meeting tight deadlines.
- Work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic math skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of office productivity and task management software, such as Google Sheets, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Working on multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Prior experience working with startups is advantageous.
ROLE OF AN EMPLOYEE
- Perform data labeling tasks such as identifying and annotating objects in photographs.
- Updating databases and spreadsheets.
- Summarize findings, communicate issues as they arise, and offer suggestions for improving workflow.
- Validate that the collected data is complete and accurate (spelling, grammar, etc.) by the established guidelines.
- Respond to general inquiries and information requests.
- As needed, provide administrative assistance to team members.
- Research, collect, and compile data in collaboration with our data science and engineering teams.
- Other duties as assigned
